14(3) Trump

 On Jan 6, 2020, Donald Trump led an attack on the Capitol in an attempt to overthrow the election results. A mob descended on Congress, causing elected officials to flee for their lives, and resulting in the death of 5 people. This was the culmination of months of efforts in the background to build support to get the election results thrown out and keep Trump in power.

This insurrection was a blatant act of treason. The Constitution states, in plain language, that Trump should be ineligible to be President. But with an assist from the Supreme Court and a weak opposition party, Trump was allowed to run again and win an election.

But this does not change the facts.

Trump was never constitutionally able to hold office, any more than a 34 year old or non citizen. And because he was never eligible the second time he ran, every act he has taken as president the second time does not have Constitutional authority. This means his entire second presidency is illegitimate. The Constitution demands that Trump be immediately expelled from office and every action he has taken to be reversed.
 

The insurrection led by Trump was not his only attack against the US. 

Immediately upon retaking power Trump engaged in an autocoup. He empowered unelected and unappointed billionaire donor Elon Musk to create the “Department of Government Efficiency.” Despite its name, DOGE is not a legitimate governmental agency and can have no legal role in government. Without congressional authorization, this handful of conspirators began seizing payment systems and data within legitimate, congressionally authorized departments, oftentimes by physical force. 

This was done for two reasons. The first was to steal all of the legally protected data of every American citizen from every agency. Then to consolidate that data into one master data base to be able to surveil and control American citizens, attacking their constitutional rights and in direct violation of law.

The second was so that Trump could take control of Congress’ power of the purse and consolidate all those payment systems into a single system that he alone controls. Examples abound of DOGE agents attacking systems with manual overrides of legally required and court mandated appropriations. This anti-constitutional usurpation of Congress’ authority amounts to an auto-coup.

Once again, Trump commits an act of Treason. Once again, the Constitution demands that he be expelled from government.
